Wangi Shores was established by Wangi District Workers Club Ltd to create a place where residents enjoy an active, social and secure lifestyle. As a resident, you will gain social membership to both the Wangi District Workers Club Ltd and Wangi Bowling Club – so as you settle in, you instantly feel part of the community.
This social atmosphere together with the amenities within the village, offers a refreshing alternative to traditional retirement living.
The word Wangi is an Indigenous Australian word meaning water, tall green trees or owls – and the repetition of Wangi Wangi signifies abundance. We chose the owl to represent Wangi Shores as we feel that our village will be your wisest choice in retirement living.

Since the village opened in 2008, Cathy has been taking care of residents. Cathy knows everyone by name, and has been an important part of building the friendly atmosphere residents love above Wangi Shores.
